On August 20, 1986, the Institution for the Deposit of Securities (S.D. Indeval, S.A de C.V, or S.D. Indeval) was legally constituted as a for-profit private entity, which began operations in October of that same year.
Indeval is Mexico's Central Securities Depository. It is regulated by the Ministry of Finance (SHCP), the National Banking and Securities Commission (CNBV), and the Mexican Central Bank (Banxico).
